Present Progressive Tense
Definition
This tense deals those activities or actions that occurs in present time. These exercises or activities continue in present time and not finished yet.
Use of tense
1. In this tense we use fourth form of verb. It means ing form of verb.
2. In this tense we use is, are and am as aiding action word.
3. Am and is both used for singular subjects I, she, he, it and one name.
4. Are is utilized for plural subjects you, they, we and two names.
Positive formula with Models
Subject + aiding action words+ verb ing form + Object
1. I am playing hockey.
2. She is talking about business.
3. He is sewing clothes
4. They are driving vehicles.
5. We are getting education.
Negative formula with Models
Subject + Aiding action words + Verb ing form + Objects
1. I am not playing hockey.
2. She is not talking about business.
3. He is not sewing clothes.
4. They are not driving vehicles.
5. We are not getting education.
Interrogative Formula with Models
Aiding action words + Subject + Verb ing form + Objects
1. Am I playing hockey?
2. Is she talking about business?
